I know it’s easy to let doubt and fear seep in during this season. Fear of illness, fear of not having enough money to pay the bills, fear of running out of toilet paper…
Okay, that last one was a joke…kind of.
But in all seriousness, although I firmly believe God is taking care of us and we don’t need to be afraid, I know many people still are afraid.
Fear and doubt, though, are not of God. They may seem convincing and even logical at times, but God commands us 365 times in the Bible – that’s once for every day of the year – not to fear, so that tells us he must be pretty serious about it.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When I’m experiencing fear or any negative emotion, listening to uplifting music is one of the things that helps me the most. I like Christian songs in particular because they help replace the lies of the enemy that are running through my mind with God’s truth. And fear and doubt? They’re liars.
If you’re struggling with fear or struggling to believe for any reason today, I hope these songs boost your faith and cause any spirit of fear or doubt in you to flee. I pray that a spirit of faith will rise up in you! God is good, he is a way-maker, he can be trusted, and he is taking care of you!
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
