I’m in a season where I don’t feel very strong. I don’t feel capable of accomplishing what’s in front of me to do. Normally I’m quite strong-willed and can power through just about anything, but I’ve been extremely aware of my weakness lately as I’ve been working as an elementary teacher and have found it to be challenging in both expected and unexpected ways.
If you’ve noticed my silence around here, that’s why. I haven’t had the necessary energy to spend writing, and while I’m not abandoning ship, I’ll probably won’t be posting as much as I used to because I simply don’t have the time. I’ll still pop in here and there when I can!
Earlier this year, I read a passage of encouragement from The Crowning Jewels based on Judges 6:14, which says to “go in the strength you have.”
That is what I need, I thought. I don’t feel like I have much strength, but I can go in the strength I have.
The same is true for you. Whether you feel strong or not, you can go in the strength you have and God will make sure you have the strength you need to do what he has called you to do. It doesn’t have to feel like enough strength to be enough.
Today I have a list of verses to help us go in the strength we have. Speak these over yourself to strengthen yourself in the Lord!
The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”
