I’ve been feeling a lot of heaviness in the atmosphere for the past several weeks. I know I’m not the only one, because many of my friends have commented on it, too.
There’s a spiritual battle going on, and those of us who are discerners or “feelers” are definitely feeling it.
Some days, it can be hard to keep fighting, keep hoping, keep praying, keep believing, keep declaring, keep persevering. Believe me, I know!
But God is faithful. He is working. His angels are warring on our behalf, and it is imperative in times like this that we cultivate a spirit of expectancy. God’s not finished, and we must continuously expect him to come through! For us, for our families, for our nations, for the people he so loves.
Today I wanted to share a playlist of songs that fill me with expectancy. I need it as much as the next person! Listen to these songs and let God fill you with a sense of anticipation for what is to come. Most of these are worship songs, with a few Disney tunes thrown in there because that’s just how I roll. 😊 Hey, the Lord can speak through anything!
Also, if you are one of those people who’s feeling beaten down by the spiritual warfare going on, you can pray and ask God to fill you with expectancy! Kat Kerr has stated on Elijah Streams that she prays for this every day. Not a bad prayer to pray, if you ask me!
The Lord is fighting for you. Expect him to come through for you. Expect to see victories. Expect the good plans he has for you to unfold. He’s got you, and he won’t let you go!
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”
Matthew 21:21-22 NLT
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
Mark 11:24 NLT
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Mark 9:23 NIV
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
