2025 is almost a wrap, which means it’s time to share my top-played songs of the year! One of the reasons I like to do this is I believe God often highlights prophetic themes from each year based on the songs I was drawn to the most. I think we can pick up clues of what he is doing and what he wants to do based on the common threads that are woven through each year. Here are my 2025 faves:

20. JWLKRS Worship & Maverick City Music: “In The Name Of Jesus (Radio Version).” I saw Maverick City in concert this year, and they are amazingly talented – even more in person, which is rare!

19. Jonas Brothers: “I Can’t Lose.” My morning get-moving anthem when I don’t want to get moving.

18. Katy Nichole: “Have Your Way.” “’Cause I know that your plans are BETTER THAN MINE!” That’s my favorite line. I’m excited that this song was recently added for radio play and I hear it often on K-LOVE!

17. Jesus Culture: “Yes And Amen (feat. Chris McClarney) [Live].” An oldie but a goodie. All God’s promises are YES and AMEN!

16. Josh Baldwin: “Made For More (Studio Version).” I like all the versions of this song, but this is the one I listened to most. I was made for more. You were made for more.

15. Jesus Culture: “Where You Go I Go (feat. Kim Walker-Smith) [Live].” This song was played at my BSSM Third Year graduation and it felt like we were being commissioned as we sang these words. (Yes, I finally did Third Year (!), I finally visited Redding in person (!), and maybe I’ll share more about all of that at some point!)

14. Jamie MacDonald: “Desperate.” We all have those moments when we pray desperate prayers and trust that God hears them. This song perfectly puts words to those situations.

13. Jon Reddick & We The Kingdom: “No Fear.” I love the version of this song with We The Kingdom, and I especially like the line, “Not over my FAMILY, not over my FUTURE, not over my life; God’s over my life.” I’m sorry, was I yelling? It was on purpose. 😊

12. Sean Rodriguez & Disciple. “It Is Finished.” Not necessarily my typical brand of music, haha, but this anthem reminds me that I already have the victory in Christ. It is FINISHED! We as Christians fight from victory; not for it.

11. Natalie Layne & Francesca Battistelli: “All Joy.” I’m a longtime fan of Francesca Battistelli, and she hasn’t released as much in recent years, so this collab excited me! This song made it halfway to the top of my annual list within 24 hours of downloading it.

10. We The Kingdom, The Choir Room & Dwan Hill: “You Bless Me (Thank You).” This is one of those songs that I sing with gratitude, but it’s also a song I sing in faith when I don’t feel all that blessed and don’t see the answers to what I pray for. A powerful reminder that God is the God of miracles and he’s worth praising before, during, and after the miracles!

9. Circuit Rider Music, Eniola Abioye & Black Voices Movement: “Lace Up Your Boots (Spontaneous) [Live].” This song was played along with “Where You Go I Go” at my BSSM graduation, and it was the perfect song to get “sent out” of ministry school with.

8. CAIN: “I Made It.” You all know I’m Cain’s biggest fan (and I’m paaaaatiently waiting their new single “My Victory’s Coming,” which I already know is going to be a new favorite of mine!) and this song felt fitting for me as I completed BSSM and another year in elementary school.

7. Terrian: “Testimony.” This is a beautiful song that strikes me as the perfect background music to a reel filled with pictures of God’s faithfulness. I am a “living, breathing, walking” testimony of what God has done, and I will never stop sharing my testimonies.

6. Bethel Music & Emmy Rose: “He’s The One (Live).” All of Bethel’s albums get a lot of air time in my house. This was one of my favorites from the most recent release.

5. Bethel Music & Edward Rivera: “Jesus Have It All (Spontaneous) [Live].” A song of surrender for me. I finally got to see Bethel Music live in concert this past year, something I’ve been wanting to do for years now! Would 💯recommend.

4. ELEVATION RHYTHM & Gracie Binion: “GOODBYE YESTERDAY.” I believe we are in a changing of seasons, not just literally, but spiritually. I know I’m not the only one this song has resonated with this past year!

3. Brandon Lake & CeCe Winans: “I Know A Name.” I play this loudly as I walk through my neighborhood, and I’m not sorry.

2. Allison Eide: “idk.” Allison Eide began showing up on my Instagram feed this summer because apparently we have a few mutual friends. (She’s a fellow Minnesotan!) I immediately connected with the authenticity of this song, and I relate on every possible level to not having a five-year plan and hating when people ask me that type of dreaded question. I don’t know and I never know! 😂 I’m a planner whose plans never seem to work out, so I’ve learned to defer to God and try not to worry about it. (Easier said than done.) Allison Eide has a handful of other equally honest songs, and I’m excited to hear more from her!

1. CAIN: “Yes He Can.” Yep, this one makes my list once again, and for the first time, it’s at the top! I love the uplifting messages of CAIN’s music, and this song is my favorite. As one of my favorite speakers, Mia Fieldes, says, “God can, he will, and he wants to!” Get your hopes up! Well, folks, that’s this year’s list! (Here’s last year’s, if you want to compare.) As always, I hope these songs encourage you and bring you a big dose of hope. There is always, always hope! ♥️
